2004 Hello All!
10:36 PM Well, well, well, guess who's back? I'll start off slowly right now. Click here to watch Gwen's new "Alice in Wonderland" themed video for her first solo single "What you Waiting For?". Plus I added lyrics to not only this new song but also a few covers that No Doubt played in Vegas during the summer. Last but not least I added a new "Did you Know?" fact. That's all for now but I wanted to get this stuff up on the net after mailing my mailing list a few days ago. Rock On,Mike March 10th,
2004 Hello All!
3:17 PM Over the past 2 weeks I have built a new personal website that is totally i-frames. I encourage any and all visitors to check it out. The next layout of this site will be very similar to the newly resurected Magic Mike's Universe. The only major difference will be the No Doubt layout will not be as busy; go to the site and see for yourself. I sent out a message to my mailing list a few days ago asking for feedback and have had no response yet, I guess no one gives a shit about a new site whose layout will greatly influence this site's much needed new look. I always seem to catch the tail end of new technology concerning html, as soon as I get the hang of i-frames someone will develop something better-- at least that's the way it's been going te past few years. No more changes will be made here until the new layout is unvieled except for TV appearances. I don't know what to make of "The Complete History of No Doubt" that was supposed to air on VH-1; I guess it's a blessing in disguise as it might have blown away the 30,000+ word biography I have been writing for the NDIFC the past year, and all my hard work would have seemed easy after watching such a program. Monday, March 22nd at 8 PM Eastern will be the official re-launch of this site with an all-new all i-frame layout. Until then keep up to date with me on my Simpsons-fied personal site and remember to send me feedback. Rock On,Mike Feburary 9th,

12:09 PM First of all, No Doubt won a Grammy again last night! The category was best pop performance by a duo or group and the nomination totally flew under my radar with the tour news that came out last week. You may download the acceptance speech at Greener Pastures; Gwen's neice Madeline was there with some LAMB stuff. The on sale dates for every show except the Mountain View show is up in the news section. The info is courtesy blink182.com. If more information is released I'll update the chart I have set up. Tickets start to go on sale next weekend. Last night I updated the lyrics and they should be up-to-date. All the b-sides that were part of Boom Box are located on the page that you get when you click on the gold album cover. I also updated the poll today. That's all for now, time to get ready for work. 4:02 PM It's been way too long since I've written here but I must get back somehow, even if it is in baby steps. I will address first the lyrics. I will get everything up to by the week's end. I'll also add the tv appearances. I will figure where the pop up ads are coming from and rid this site of that problem. After that I will consider a new layout. I would do it the other way around but I must show some effort in order to regain the trust in my visitors. No Doubt will tour in 2004; they just agreed to join Blink 182 for a summer tour. As of right now it is only 13 dates but it may grow longer but most likely may not. I have added a press release on the tour page that may help to give some details and reasoning behind this move. My site has been alive (on life support more than once) for 7 years now. I recently ensured it seeing a 9th birthday by registering the domain name. I've built a brand name over the years and I think it's worked. Wheter seeing people get a little nervous when they saw my shirt with the site name on it or having Gabe say he didn't remember until I told him this site's name it's left visitors with something to remember. I only hope that I can win back visitors by staying on top of things, and please understand that I sometimes get distracted by real life situations and problems. That is the only way I could ever forget to update this site. Rock On,Mike September 7th,
2003 Hello All!
2:10 AM I just added an article about the begining of shooting for the film "Aviator". The film starring Leonardo DiCaprio also features Gwen as Jean Harlow. The film will not be released until December 2004. There is a picture from the set on the article page, you can click on the link above. A fan from New York Laurie sent me the link to her online store site- Mergirl 44. She designs and makes really rad handbags and armbands. What makes it even more rad, is that Gwen has worn some of her stuff. If you go into the "special client" section of her site, you will see pictures in which Gwen is wearing her armbands. So you can get some armbands just like ones Gwen has worn! Gwen also talked about this girl giving her a handbag in a Teen Vogue article (a scan is on her site as well.) Check it out and let her know I sent you. That's basically it for now, the mp3's may be down tommorow night temporarily; if they do go down they should be up by Noon Monday. Don't forget to vote for me at Elite Fan Pages and help give me more exposure to others visiting elitefanpages.com. Rock On,Mike September 5th,

12:31 AM Just some quick notes, Tony made a journal post to nodoubt.com. I have the post on the news page as it has information about upcoming releases and a quick note about the release of "New Friend". In the post Tony admits it's been a hella long time (I didn't just say that did I?) since there's been a post. Right now I am at my parents house about ready for bed. I will NOT post new friend to this site. I would not put this site in jeopardy by doing such a thing. I have too much respect for No Doubt to do something so selfish as to put an mp3 up of a song that will be out year's end. If waiting for Return of Saturn taught me anything it's to be patient. The next week will be a head spinning week between work, moving and searching for a second job. On top of that, next Friday I am attending the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Camden, NJ. I'm sure I'll find time to update at least this part of the site between now and then. Don't forget to vote for me at Elite Fan Pages and help give me more exposure to others visiting elitefanpages.com. OK, that's all for now, until next week... Rock On,Mike |
